Accounts Payable assistant


We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to work onsite at our Boise office. Successful candidates will have excellent communication competences, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve vendors’ billing issues
  • Perform monthly bank account reconciliations for multiple entities
  • Assists in monthly closings
  • Manage vendor W-9 process
  • Manage all accounting/finance documents through internal compliance process
  • Development and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets
  • Assisting with audit support as necessary
  • Acts as liaison between corporate and accounts payable department
  • Provide administrative support for Accounting/Finance department including phone, filing, and copying etc.
  • Handle administrative requests and queries from department
  • Additional ad-hoc team assignments
  • Organize and schedule appointments for department needs
  • Manage department meetings and take detailed minutes
  • Update and maintain department policies and procedures
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Other duties as assigned

Primary Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or course related work in Accounting preferred
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Basic accounting software knowledge
  • Basic legal document knowledge
  • Be reliable and highly organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Maintain effective judgment, discretion, and professionalism
  • Proficient in computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office applications
  • Outstanding verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Identify and address discrepancies
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
  • Committed team player with the ability to develop and maintain productive work relationships
  • Flexibility conducive to a fast-paced, growing company environment
